Frequently Asked Questions
A dietitian (that’s me) is a regulated health professional. In Ontario (and across Canada), the title “dietitian” is protected by law. That means I completed a university degree in nutrition, a year-long supervised internship, passed a national licensing exam, and I’m held accountable to a regulatory college. This I have to practice based on science, keep up with continuing education, and follow strict professional standards.
A nutritionist can mean two very different things. In some provinces (like Alberta or Quebec), “nutritionist” is the regulated title for dietitians , so it’s pretty much the same thing. But in Ontario, anyone can call themselves a nutritionist, even without formal training. Some are well-educated, some aren’t. There’s no regulation, so you don’t always know if you are getting someone who is knowledgeable about nutrition.
A naturopath is a different type of healthcare provider. They complete naturopathic medical training and can advise on nutrition, herbal supplements, and alternative treatments. While some naturopaths incorporate evidence-based nutrition, many do not. Their practice isn’t the same as a dietitian’s, and their regulatory standards are different.
Bottom line: If you want evidence-based, personalized nutrition advice that’s covered by many health benefit plans, see a registered dietitian.
Because most diets you find online aren’t built for you. They’re generic, one-size-fits-all programs that might give you quick results at first but usually doesn't stick because it isn't tailored to you.
As a dietitian, I take a completely different approach. I look at your goals, lifestyle, preferences, and health history, then build a system that actually fits your life. Instead of telling you to cut carbs or follow a rigid meal plan, I teach you how to structure meals, hit your protein and calorie needs, and stay consistent without feeling deprived.
The difference? An online diet gives you short-term rules. A dietitian gives you long-term results you can actually maintain.
I help people cut through the misinformation around food and diet. As a registered dietitian, my job isn’t to hand you a rigid meal plan or tell you to cut out everything you love. Instead, I give you a clear system for eating that fits your lifestyle, keeps you full, and actually moves you toward your goals.
That means:
Showing you how to structure meals so you’re not guessing every time you eat
Teaching you about the nutrients you eat so you can make decisions that support your body and goals
Helping you lose fat, build muscle, and feel more energetic without going down another fad-diet rabbit hole
Keeping you accountable and consistent so the results actually stick for life
Because I’m a regulated health professional, everything I do is based on science. Not trends or “bro science.” My role is to make nutrition simple, personalized, and sustainable so you can finally stop spinning your wheels.

No , although athletes and busy professionals are where most of my experience and expertise lie, I work with a wide range of people with different health goals and concerns.
As a registered dietitian, I’m trained in all areas of nutrition, so I can help with weight management, resistance training, heart health, cholesterol management, blood sugar regulation, and more.
In my day-to-day practice, I see clients managing type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and other common health conditions. My approach is always evidence-based and personalized, whether your goal is improved athletic performance, sustainable weight loss, or better overall health.
My approach isn’t about quick fixes, rigid meal plans, or vague advice that many coaches online offer.
It’s comprehensive, personalized, and evidence-based. Before your first appointment, you get access to a mini-course that lays down the fundamentals of nutrition, so you start with a strong foundation. During your assessment, I create a plan tailored to your goals, preferences, and lifestyle. Afterward, you get a personalized e-book summarizing everything: the education, your recommendations, and the systems and strategies that make implementing changes realistic and sustainable.
What really sets me apart is that I don’t just teach these things. I’ve lived them myself. I lost over 55 pounds, lowered my blood pressure from 155/90 into a normal range, and drastically improved my overall health. Because I’ve done the work, I understand the struggles, the pitfalls, and what it really takes to create lasting change. And I use that experience to guide every client.
Every part of my system is designed to teach you how to eat and live smarter, build confidence, and get measurable results. No gimmicks, deprivation, or guesswork.
Everything I provide from meal frameworks to lifestyle recommendations is evidence-based.
There’s a ton of research showing that making these kinds of changes leads to real, measurable results. On top of that, my services are fully personalized, which means every suggestion is tailored to your life, goals, and preferences.
As long as you follow through on the recommendations I give you, you can feel confident that you’ll see progress. Because we focus on realistic, sustainable changes, you won’t be trying to fit yourself into someone else’s plan. Everything is built to work for you.
The short answer: none.
You won’t be told to completely cut out any foods you love. My approach isn’t about restriction or “good vs. bad” foods. It’s about learning how to include the foods you enjoy while still hitting your nutrition goals.
Instead of banning foods, we focus on balanced, flexible eating and building habits that work for your lifestyle. This way, you can enjoy meals out, treats, and your favorite comfort foods, without guilt, and still see the results you want.
Not in the way you might think. Traditional meal plans don’t really work.
Sure, they give you a rigid structure that might work in the short term, but as soon as life throws you a curveball such as a work trip, a family dinner, or a weekend away, they fall apart. And when you can’t follow the plan, you end up feeling stuck, frustrated, and like you’ve “failed” your diet. That’s exactly what keeps so many people spinning their wheels.
Instead of handing you a cookie-cutter plan, I build you a framework: simple, flexible guidelines that show you how to hit your protein, fiber, and calorie needs while eating foods you actually enjoy.
I provide you with the resources to make planning your meals, making grocery lists, and cooking easy. You’ll get sample meal ideas and templates for inspiration, but more importantly, you’ll get the education and foundation to make smart choices anywhere. That way, you’re never stuck when life doesn’t go according to plan.
No, you won’t need to track calories. While calorie or macro tracking can be a helpful tool for learning what’s in your food and understanding portion sizes, it’s often too time-consuming and mentally draining to stick with long-term. For most people, it ends up feeling restrictive instead of freeing.
My approach focuses on giving you simple, sustainable meal structures so you can reach your goals without being glued to an app.
It depends on your goal.
If your goal is tied to changes in blood work or specific health markers, you’ll need to wait for new measurements to see the progress.
But many of my clients notice positive changes in how they feel very quickly. Some clients message me the day after their first appointment telling me about improvements they have noticed.
Whether it’s better energy, improved focus, reduced cravings, or more consistent meals, you’re likely to start feeling the results as you follow the guidance I provide. Long-term body composition and health changes take time, but the small wins usually start almost immediately.
I offer virtual services to all residents of Ontario, Canada and in-person services in Sudbury, Ontario.
Your initial assessment is booked for about an hour, and each follow-up is booked for 30 minutes. That said, we take the time needed to make sure you’re fully supported. Sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. The goal is always to ensure you leave with clarity, actionable steps, and the tools to see results.
It depends on the service or package you choose.
Generally, I like to see clients every 2 to 5 weeks when they first get started. This helps you start seeing results quickly while staying on track.
For clients who want extra support, I also offer services that include priority email access or even phone access seven days a week, so you can get guidance, accountability, and answers whenever you need them.
What’s included depends on the package or service you choose, but at a minimum, you’ll get direct access to me and a comprehensive dietitian assessment. Before your appointment, you’ll receive a mini-course covering the fundamentals of nutrition so you have a solid foundation going in.
During the assessment, I’ll review your medical history, diet history, current eating habits, and personal preferences to create a plan that’s completely tailored to you. Afterward, you’ll get a personalized e-book summarizing everything we covered: the education I provided, the recommendations I made, how those recommendations help you reach your goals, and the systems and strategies you need to make these changes realistic, sustainable, and easy to follow in your daily life.

The cost depends on the package or service you choose. Buying services in packages reduces the price per appointment, while additional add-ons come at an extra cost.
At a baseline, individual appointments are priced at:
Initial dietitian assessment: $200
Individual follow-up: $100
Most clients get the most value from the introductory package, which includes an initial assessment and two follow-ups for $325. This gives you a strong start while keeping things affordable and structured.
My goal isn’t just to give you advice and send you on your way. I aim to provide as close to a done-for-you service as possible. That includes a mini-course sent before your appointment to give you the nutrition basics and a completely personalized e-book afterward, outlining exactly what you need to do and the systems to implement it in your life.
All of this takes significant time, expertise, and resources on my end. Charging a higher price allows me to maintain this model, which I love, because it gives clients the best chance to see real, lasting results.
